Starfire™ 3000 and 6000 Receiver Mandatory Updates for Spring 2021

Feb. 26 2021 Precision Ag Technology By Ryan Brooks

Did you miss the February 1 deadline? No worries. Our Integrated Solutions team can still get you updated before planting season. This software update, unlike many others, is a “Mandatory Update” for both John Deere StarFire™ 6000 and John Deere StarFire™ 3000 receivers and includes software fixes plus a few new features. The most important part of the 20-2 software update is that it positions the current StarFire™ 6000 and StarFire™ 3000 receivers to continue operating into the future. Changes coming with the 20-2 software update also prepare the StarFire™ network to support new satellite constellation.

How to Get Updated

Option 1 – Schedule an in-store or on-farm appointment to get your receiver(s) updated. May be subject to a fee.

Option 2 – Self install for FREE using the instructions and software on StellarSupport™ (approx. 2+ hours).

Update Methods

There are three methods for reprogramming StarFire™ 6000 receivers and two methods for StarFire™ 6000 Integrated receivers and StarFire™ 3000 receivers. Check out these John Deere video guides below to learn more.

Contact your local Prairie State Tractor Integrated Solutions Consultant with any questions or to arrange a time to perform these mandatory updates to your receivers.
