New Harvesting Performance Upgrades from John Deere
S700 Series owners rejoice! Features that used to be only available on the John Deere X9 are now available to order for an S700 Series combine as a Performance Upgrade Kit. Here's a look a new harvesting related performance upgrades available in 2023:
Active Unload Spout
This Performance Upgrade Kit for S700 Series Combines will now allow the operator to adjust the auger spout, making it easier to unload into grain carts and trailers.

Cross Auger Shutoff
The sequenced unload system Performance Upgrade Kit on an S700 Series Combines fully unloads all grain out of the unloading auger anytime it is shut off from the cab. This makes sure all grain leaves the unloading auger, reducing weight in the auger and reducing wear and tear when turning it on and off.

- Same user experience and integration as X9 Combines
- Cross augers turn on three seconds after unloading augers turn on
- Cross augers turn off three seconds before unloading augers turn off
- Improves auger start up and decreases wear and tear on belts
- Emergency shutoff requires yellow unloading button to be clicked twice (double tapped)
- Improves serviceability by eliminating the chain drive which would need to be oiled and adjusted

Corn Head Short Points
Short points for John Deere corn heads enable increased maneuverability in tight turns and curved rows by shortening the corn head snout by 9.5”. The shorter length allows for a 15% tighter turning radius compared to the standard end point.

LED Light Upgrades
This Performance Upgrade offers 18 LED lights in total that enhance your ability to see an expanded envelope around your combine, especially in the most challenging visual conditions. The kit is focused on the lights used while harvesting.

- A. Cab roof – Two high beam, two low beam, and four work LED lights
- B. Grain tank – One LED light
- C. Directional row finder – Two LED lights at 3050 lumens
- D. Unloading auger – One LED light
